featured on the newspaper. seriously. what do holidays mean? Singaporeans are getting KIASU these days and won't even let the kids rest during holidays. the Americans get their holidays and enjoy it, and compared to Australia, America, etc. countries, we study much faster than them. why do we need to study so hard for? our future?... seriously, when you can't predict the future?. i know we need to work hard or else we will regret it later in life. but how many people do not regret what they do.
two weeks of school. solid school. and even bio spa and chinese O levels. how cool is that? might just as well cancel the holidays? i mean like seriously? why give hope and take it all away.
the definition of holiday 'a day on which one is exempt from work; specifically : a day marked by a general suspension of work in commemoration of an event'
i guess Singapore's commandment of the English language just isn't strong enough.
i know that most of the students are going back for reminders during the holidays. i mean seriously, what is the society becoming now? days weren't like that when i was young, i mean i don't have to come back during the holidays when i was in P6.. now, even the P5 come back for extra lessons. what's helps is not the lessons that are being held but whether the students are interested in the lessons. if they are interested, they will be motivated. and there isn't really a need for ADAM KHOO's lessons. i mean seriously, no one can motivate others other than themselves.
